hi! i've been working in parallel computing for science and engineering applications for over 20 years. my background is in numerical linear algebra. i also work on C++ standardization.

my native language is English. i can read, write, and speak some German, can read a bit of Low German, and have some nonzero chance of surviving in Chinese.

i migrated from twitter (my handle was "mhoemmen"); i deleted my account last year before the bad bots could take over.
